Stephen King has been performing for 30 years, and that number is no surprise when you see the list of instruments that he plays and teaches: electric, acoustic, and classical guitar, bass, ukulele, drum kit and snare, piano, keyboards, synth, and recording and production! He has performed alone and in groups, such as the band Disposable Heroes: A Tribute to Metallica.

Stephen graduated from the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media with high honors, and he has been teaching private lessons since 2010. He teaches across all styles of music, including voice, which he teaches in both traditional and rock/metal styles.

“My personal teaching mission is to help my students accomplish their musical goals in a way that is both fun and productive, challenging and empowering,” Stephen shares. “We can ensure the long-term success of our students by tailoring lessons to each individual student’s specific wants and needs.”

One of Stephen’s favorite performance memories is from a random two-day music festival gig at a Georgia dirt bike track where “the attendees had built all these crazy off-roading contraptions,” Stephen remembers. “So you are on stage and all the dust is kicking up and these things are just zipping by you; it was pretty crazy!”

Stephen has a pet python named Princess Bubblegum. Besides music, he likes to paint and read.
