Even with seven years of experience teaching piano, Fernando finds something new to experience with his students. “I enjoy renewing myself every single class, doing improvisations with my students, and composing music with them,” he explains.
With a fun, energetic, and enthusiastic personality, Fernando is always seeking to develop his students’ musical abilities and inspire a lifelong love for music. He tries to find music that the student wants to learn and that also matches with their levels and personalities. “I’ll always figure out their favorite movies, TV shows, and composers and then show my students what they can achieve by creating a habit of studying music—creating musical dreams in them,” Fernando shares. “I want to inspire my students to like music and to have fun during the process of learning music.”
Fernando is Brazilian and speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and English. He spends his free time biking, hiking, and going out with friends. Fernando enjoys all genres of music, including soundtracks of movies and TV shows. Pop, folk, reggaeton, and especially Brazilian music are his favorite styles. He likes to compose his own music too. “Sometimes I have so many ideas I can’t put all of them on paper,” he shares.
