Chris Hernandez is a multi-instrumentalist who teaches piano, guitar (acoustic and electric), violin, bass (electric), voice, and drums. He teaches students across a variety of genres, including classical, pop, jazz, rock, bossa nova, and flamenco.
Chris has a lot to offer his students, including utilizing his perfect pitch to easily arrange songs for students when an arrangement is not available. He is also passionate about helping his students become performers by making his lessons equal parts theory/technique and creativity/fun. His advice for his students is, “One will go farther in life by being themselves.”
If you’re ever looking for some live music to enjoy, sometimes you will find Chris performing at the promenade at Marietta Square with an electric violin and loop pedal. His favorite style of music to play is flamenco, and his top five favorite artists are Porter Robinson, Prince, Billie Eilish, Rosalia and Justice. A man of many talents, Chris also knows how to make an origami T-Rex.
