Adele’s musical theatre journey began when she was eight years old. She has been in numerous musicals, and in college, she was a part of a few original plays written by her theatre department—one named Bloodroot that went to the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and became the regional winner in 2019. Since moving to Atlanta in 2023, she has been working on various sets throughout the city. “I have had so much fun being a recurring student for an upcoming Netflix show and many other upcoming projects!” she shares excitedly.
Her teaching experience also began very early, as she started teaching in middle school as a community theatre intern. Once she was old enough to teach in high school, she began assistant teaching. She eventually began teaching summer courses and online courses for Theatre for the Arts. “I directed, music directed, choreographed, and taught voice for them for quite a few years!” she explains. In college, she taught through her teacher licensure program and completed her student teaching in a high school. “I have been teaching theatre since middle school and just truly love seeing students find their passion in theatre!” Adele shares.
Adele teaches voice across several different styles, including R&B, pop, musical theatre, country, and Christian music. “I teach to encourage and prepare students to follow their passion in theatre or music so they are equipped for a career in the field!” she says. “I help them find material that helps them to stand out! I want my students to be uniquely themselves which will help them use their strengths to their advantage.”
When asked about her hobbies, you might be surprised by her answer. “I am somehow good at fishing! Since I was a child I have always loved the ocean. My dad would take me fishing with him in Florida and I have caught three baby sharks! So wild and funny!”
