Abigail teaches classical voice, as well as musical theatre, folk and pop. She also teaches basic piano, ukulele and guitar. “I want to foster a love for music by helping students discover and grow in the music that they love to play, while remaining grounded in good and healthy technique and a solid grasp of theory,” she says.
Abigail has some great, practical advice for her students. “Listen to, practice and grow in music that brings you joy,” she shares. “If you only ever play music that others want you to play, you will quickly burn out.”
Abigail is excited about the connection she will make with her students. “I look forward to being a big cheerleader for my students!” she enthuses. “I want to support them in their music and their life.”
Abigail’s favorite musical artist is Sufjan Stevens. Her creativity shows up in pursuits beyond music as well—she is a photographer who specializes in relational photography (e.g., weddings, portraits, families, etc.), and one of her favorite hobbies is interior decorating and design. Also, she can wiggle her ears!
