Nine-year-old Brooke Snowball has been playing piano for around four years. Her teacher Michael Pagel sat down with her to ask Brooke a few questions about her music, her life, and what talent she’d like to show off to America.
Why did you choose to learn piano?
“It is easier than a guitar.”
What kind of music do you like to listen to? Who’s your favorite band or musician?
“I like to listen to pop music. I really like Taylor Swift.”
What do you love about music?
“You can make different noises that sound cool, and there is a flow sort of.”
What do you like to do when you’re not playing music?
“Hang out with friends and chillax.”
Do you play any sports or do any other activities outside of music lessons?
I play soccer and am in drama club and chess club.”
What’s your proudest accomplishment so far in life?
“Probably being in a play.”
What’s your favorite TV show or movie?
“I like The Greatest Showman.”
What’s your favorite candy?
“My favorite candy is Twizzlers.”
What’s your favorite subject in school?
“Language arts.”
If you were going to be on a reality TV show, would you rather be on American Idol, The Voice, or America’s Got Talent? Why?
“America’s Got Talent because I like to show my talent. Maybe playing a Beethoven song perfectly.”
What do you want to be when you grow up?
“Two things: A soccer player, and when that is done, an actress.”
What else would you like to tell us about yourself?
“I love cats.”
